YOU will have seen him on your tele box, normally diving from a very high height into a pool below.

But keep an eye on Southampton's roads this afternoon, as he'll be cycling into the city as part of a mammoth charity challenge.

Here's all you need to know.

When is Tom Daley coming to Southampton?

The legendary diver will be arriving in the city at The Quay Swimming & Diving Complex at 5pm.

It will be the end of a 63-mile cycle, having set off from Oxfordshire earlier in the day.

Local residents will be able to cheer Tom on as he cycles into the venue on Harbour Parade.

Why is he going to be in Southampton?

Well, not many of you may know this, but Tom trained at the city's diving complex early in his career.

Now, he will be back as part of Tom Daley’s Hell of a Homecoming challenge, which is raising money for Red Nose Day.

The challenge started yesterday which saw Tom start his journey at the Aquatics centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where he won his first Olympic medal in 2012.

He then picked up a bike at the Tower of London and continue his journey westward to the Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake, Team GB Rowing’s training ground.

Today, Tom will take an icy dip in the Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake, swimming the length of 50 swimming pools.

He will then get back on his bike and make a gruelling 63-mile cycle to Southampton, where he started his diving career back in 2003. He is due to arrive at The Quay Swimming & Diving Complex at around 5pm.

He will then be leaving the city tomorrow morning at 5.30am, heading for Bovey Castle, nestled in Dartmoor National Park where he married his husband in 2017.

On day four, Tom’s final leg sees him on foot from Bovey Castle to his hometown, Plymouth.
