THE first batch of the Model Y Tesla have been delivered in a mass event at the Port of Southampton.
Taking place on Saturday, customers came to pick up their new vehicles which are some of the first right-hand drive versions in the UK.
The Southampton port is the second biggest import port in the country, processing around 900,000 cars each year as well as 14 million tonnes of commodities.
The event concluded a week of deliveries across the UK at locations such as Bristol Aerospace, Cambridge American Air Museum, Manchester IWM, Clumber Park in the Midlands and Oyster Catcher in Wales.
Tesla says its new Model Y builds on the success of the Model 3 with a spokesperson for the company saying the vehicle offers "SUV styling and proportions for those looking for a sport utility vehicle".
