A BAND described by BBC Radio 2 as 'the most extraordinary musicians' will be performing in Fareham this Spring.

India Electric Co. will be returning to the stage after two and a half years full of cancellations and postponements.

Their upcoming performance at Ashcroft Arts Centre on April 7 comes before the band's highly anticipated European Tour.

Lead singer Cole Stacey said: "Hampshire very much feels like a home for us, so much so that we’re recording some of our new album here.

"We were very keen to start the tour here and have added a second date because people have been so supportive.

"We’re delighted to be joined by drummer Russell Field for the first time for these unique comeback shows."

Amid the pandemic, the Hampshire Cultural Trust opened the doors to its venues for artists to rehearse and record, for free.

India Electric Co. had the opportunity to use one of the trust's venues and remain grateful for the opportunity.

Cole said: "They welcomed us and many other artists with open arms and allowed their wonderful facilities to be used which was invaluable when concerts weren’t happening."

The band will also be performing further afield in Aldershot and tickets can be purchased here indiaelectricco.com for both shows.
