IT IS a stadium known to everyone who lives in Southampton – and so many across the world.

St Marys has been the home of Saints since 2001 and is something to be proud of, as it is the largest stadium outside London in the south.

But what do people like and dislike about the 32,505-seater venue?

We have collated a range of online views:

Five-star reviews of St Marys Stadium in Southampton

Reviewer S.E.A: "Best stadium on the South Coast. Wonderful atmosphere, a must visit for any football fan, Saints or not. There's lots of parking on the surrounding streets too which is useful.

"Top tip: you can bring your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic) into the stadium - the food inside is some of the worst I've ever had so save yourself the expense and disappointment and go to the Tesco next door beforehand."

Anthony Taylor: "Fantastic time with the wife and daughter for the England game. Great atmosphere thanks to the band and lots of free flags and gizzets to get the kids excited."

Ben Owen: "Review based on the away end. Ticket collection for away fans is next to the away end, which saves a lot of time for away fans. Of course, it is common sense to have an away box office adjacent to the away turnstiles but a lot of clubs don't think about the supporters! Well done Saints for thinking about the needs of fans."

Jerry Tremain: "Best team and stadium inside Hampshire. Great experience. Supporter's village is good too. Usual extortionate catering prices of course."

Samuel Leung: "The stadium is fully accessible and the front row near to the pitch is reserved for wheelchair users. It has a family friendly stand suitable for families with young kids. The stadium is close to the city centre. No need to ask for direction, on a match, just follow everyone who is wearing the red and white shirt."

One-star reviews of St Marys

Richard Harris: "Worst catering anywhere and if you want a drink at half time be prepared to miss 10 mins of the match. When you do finally get to the bar pay inflated prices for your beer. Still at least the football has improved."

Richard Joyce: "Very slow getting people through the turnstiles, lots of people missed first 10 mins of game. Half time service at bar absolutely amateur. Huge queues and a few bar staff slowly pouring cans one by one! Pre pour for goodness sake! Must be costing them a fortune in lost revenue."

Chris Moore: "Worst 'new' stadium I have been to. It's like it's made of Lego, acoustics are horrific. All four sides are exactly the same. The executive boxes behind the three other stands either haven't been built or aren't used. Soulless bowl."

Regan Valle: "Really poor atmosphere if you're not in the away end. Really disappointing for a Premier League side and ground."

Owen Williams: "For a modern stadium this has surprisingly poor facilities for travelling fans. Massive queues for toilets and finally reached the front of the bar queue only to be told that the bar is closing."
