WITH Leisure World now closed, the Echo looks back at when it was home to a family fun day held to celebrate the release of a Hollywood animated blockbuster - Anastasia.
There was a right royal turnout on April 5, 1998, as visitors both old and young piled into the complex to take part in the fun and to watch the full-length feature about the lost Russian princess.
Also on offer to entertain the public was a bouncy castle, stilt walkers, face painting and other traditional fete-style offerings.
A talent show held at Jumpin’ Jacks attracted a big turnout and there was also a character tour from the film.
Neighbours star Sarah Vandenbergh and children’s TV presenter Toby Anstis were on hand to meet and greet the thronging crowds.
