ART CREATED by female-identifying artists has raised over £1,000 for charity.
The Inspirational Women Artists exhibition at God's House Tower (GHT), Town Quay Road, raised £3,000 in total following a silent auction on International Women's Day THIS WEEK.
Over 100 submissions from UK-based and overseas artists were received for the special exhibition and the money raised will be split between the artists and charity Yellow Door.

GHT venue manager, Hannah Preston said: "The premise of it is to raise awareness of local, female-identifying artists and artists from across the world.
"The artists made a piece of artwork inspired by their favourite artists.
"Some people used their family or people close to them, whole others chose Frida Kahlo and other big female artists.
"International Women's Day is why we are bringing everybody together in this way; to see supportive allies and friendly faces.
"It’s a cause people have really responded to. Our exhibition is about raising awareness and lots of people have come away learning about new artwork."
Thanks to the silent auction and people's generosity, £1,708 will go to Yellow Door while £1,292 will go to the artists, the youngest of which is 11.
Hannah said: "People have been really generous and bidding for the art, but the feedback has also been great.
"They feel like this is a space for them to share and see art."
