A POLICE watchdog has confirmed it is no longer looking into an incident where a man fell from a building.
It comes as, on March 3, a 20-year-old man was left fighting for his life after he fell from the Wyndham Court flats off Commercial Road, Southampton.
The incident happened at 10.45 am and saw a section of the road taped off.
Hampshire Constabulary later confirmed it had referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as officers had been in the area at the time of the fall.

But now the IOPC has said it has completed its assessment and has handed the matter back to Hampshire Constabulary to handle.
A referral is made to the watchdog if someone had direct or indirect contact with police when, or shortly before, they were seriously injured or died.
A spokesperson for the Independent Office for Police Conduct said: “We can confirm that we received a referral in relation to this matter from Hampshire Constabulary.

"Following a thorough assessment of the information provided, we determined that it should be returned to the force to be dealt with by them in a reasonable and proportionate manner.”
Police refused to disclose details of officers' involvement with the man prior to the fall, pending an investigation.
