AN 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after reports of an incident at a Southampton hotel.
It comes as a large police presence has been seen outside the Premier Inn in Cumberland Place today.
Officers say they are currently making enquiries following an incident involving an adult woman overnight.
Now an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
He remains in custody at this time.
Police remain at the hotel carrying out investigations but have stressed there is no wider risk to the public.
