CALLING all Southampton knitters: this is your chance to take your hobby to the next level.

Free knitting workshops are set to arrive in Southampton next month.

'Knit in with Enam' will be led by textile and performance artist Enam Gbewonyo at God House Tower (GHT) in Southampton.

She will kick off her upcoming Meeting Point commission, and as part of her residency, she will be leading a series of free knitting workshops open to Southampton locals of all ages with basic knitting knowledge.

Participants will knit with steel wire to create pieces that will be used in Enam’s soft sculpture installations made for the commission.

This is your opportunity to not only develop your knitting skills but to be part of this landmark artwork, which will be on display at GHT throughout the summer.

The workshops will take place on Wednesday, 13 April; Thursday, 14 April, 6pm–8pm; and Wednesday, 20 April, 2pm–5pm.

Workshops are open to those living in Southampton and can be booked individually or as a series.
