A SOUTHAMPTON building housing a city restaurant has been listed for sale.

Max's Bar and Brasserie in Oxford Street has been listed on Savills as an "investment opportunity" priced at £700,000 as part of a freehold investment.

The restaurant is let on a 10-year lease to Max’s Deli Ltd at a passing rent of £15,900 per annum commencing expiring on 22 December, 2024.

Rent reviews are to open market every three years with the next in December 2023. The business is not affected by the investment.

The restaurant is arranged to provide an open plan area for 38 customers and a trade kitchen on the ground floor.

In June 2019, Max's Bar and Brasserie on Oxford Street, Ocean Village, was voted Southampton's 2019 best restaurant.

Visitors were able to online for which restaurant they believed deserved top spot.

The restaurant has been open for around eight years and is owned by Max Romano, who said they serve authentic Italian food made with "quality local produce".
