QUIZ fans were offered the chance to test their knowledge against The Dark Destroyer at a charity event hosted by Sholing Football Club.
Shaun Wallace, star of ITV’s The Chase, hosted the fundraising event at Oasis Academy Mayfield, which raised more than £2,500.
The Boatmen used the quiz to raise funds for a new 3G sports pitch at the school for use by the club and community, particularly Sholing youth teams.
More than 180 people took part in the quiz, which included the chance to take on Shaun in a game of beat the chaser.
The new pitch will host training sessions and even some Sholing home games. It will be a big boost to the community as well as the club.
Anyone attending the quiz was given a token for half price tickets to upcoming Sholing games as they look to push into the Southern Division One play-offs.
