A NEW ride has opened at a Hampshire theme park in time for the Easter break.

Paultons Park, the UK’s number one family theme park, has announced the return of its annual Easter celebration, Hoppy Easter.

Running from April 8 to April 26, children will be greeted by Paultons Park’s Easter themed characters, Bobtail Bunny and his Forest Friends.

Has also opened its new ride, Farmyard Flyer, on Friday, April 1, just in time for the Easter holidays.

Located in the Park’s newest themed land, Tornado Springs, the flying ride transports guests into an authentic 1950’s American farm scene, complete with a huge, crooked barn aircraft hangar, an old crop-dusting plane, and a vintage combine harvester.

James Mancey, operations director at Paultons Park, said: “Spring is a brilliant time to visit Paultons Park. The gardens are in bloom and our Hoppy Easter event continues to prove popular with guests and adds some seasonal fun to the day out.

“We’re excited to kick off the season with the opening of our new ride, Farmyard Flyer. It’s the perfect first-time rollercoaster for adventurous little ones, with a top speed of 36km per hour.

"Young riders can experience an epic flight that swirls around the track and towers above excited riders below.”

This year the park’s entrance plaza will be festooned with giant Easter Eggs and Bunnies, making an ‘egg-cellent’ first impression before guest’s head to explore the 140 acres and 80 rides and attractions on offer at Paultons Park.

Forest Friends Hennie the Hedgehog, Red the Deer and mischievous Fenton Fox can be found roaming around the Park’s entrance during the Hoppy Easter event.

Tickets are on sale now, starting from £39.75 and must be purchased online and in advance. Children under one metre receive free entry with no ticket required.
