THE sea has always played a vital part in the life of Southampton people, and even from an early age youngsters have joined organisations that have taught them all about life on the ocean waves.
These photographs, from the over the past century, are part of the Daily Echo’s archive and recall activities undertaken by members of the Sea Cadets and Sea Scouts in Hampshire.
