HAMPSHIRE'S Chief Constable has received a Good rating from the education watchdog, Ofsted.
During an inspection in mid-February, the Hamble-based Constable, who oversees apprenticeships was found to be "Good" across the board, having never previously been inspected.
The Chief Constable of Hampshire has been training apprentices under a police contract since 2019.
There are currently 75 apprentices on the programme studying for the level 3 emergency service contact Handling standard.
Training is delivered face-to-face at the training centre and central police station in Southampton.

After the inspection, Ofsted said: "Apprentices benefit from a safe and disciplined environment which helps them to enjoy their learning. They rightly value the substantial new skills, knowledge, and behaviours they develop during their apprenticeships.
"Apprentices speak confidently about the strong culture of support and the help they receive from staff who provide clear and timely feedback on their progress."
The Chief Constable was inspected in five categories, namely quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and apprenticeships.
In the report, it says: "Leaders and managers have carefully planned an effective curriculum which ensures apprentices develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need in a logical and sensible order.
"Leaders and managers ensure apprentices develop high levels of skill and confidence in their roles as emergency call handlers."
The report said however that the Chief Constable should improve on ensuring employers understand apprentices' progress, making sure that all apprentices understand local risks, and making sure that all apprentices receive impartial careers advice.
