A CRASH between four cars is causing traffic chaos on two busy motorways.

The incident on the M3 northbound, near Junction 13 for Eastleigh, happened at around 2.22pm this afternoon (Wednesday April 20).

No injuries have been reported, but police have confirmed that traffic was stopped to allow the recovery of the vehicles.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "A grey Mazda, a white Renault van, a silver Renault and a black Volkswagen were involved in an incident, causing a number of live lanes of traffic to be blocked.

"Traffic has been stopped prior to the collision to allow for recovery of the vehicles onto the hard shoulder.

"No injuries have been reported at this time."

Delays were reported as far back as the M27.
