A SHOPLIFTER has been jailed for four months.
Liam Wall, 29, of Church Street, Southampton, admitted assault by beating in Eastleigh on April 15 - and stealing a bottle of gin from Tesco in the town.
He breached a suspended sentence for burgling Up & Running in Chandler's Ford on December 20 last year.

He also had the previous suspended sentence for having heroin, a Class A drug, and using threatening, abusive or insulting word or behaviour in relation to a police officer.
Wall must pay a £128 victim surcharge.
He was jailed at Southampton Magistrates' Court without a probation report as he knew he would be sent to prison.
Wall had previously denied the assault by beating offence in court but changed his plea to guilty.
