UPDATE: Omario has now been found and police have thanked everybody who shared their appeal.

AN URGENT search for a missing 16-year-old boy has been launched with his family 'increasingly worried' about his disappearance.

Police said they are looking for Omario, from Southampton, after he was last seen at 4pm on Sunday. Officers launched a public appeal at around 8pm.

He was last seen leaving his home in Woodcote Road. He is known to visit Bournemouth and London, police said.

A Hampshire police statement said: "Since being reported missing, officers have been carrying out enquires to locate Omario and we are now turning to the public for assistance.

"We, and his family, are growing increasingly worried for his welfare."

Omario is black, 5ft 1ins, slim, and has short frizzy black hair, police said.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, flared ripped stonewash jeans, a khaki jacket, glasses and black shoes.

Police added: "If anyone has seen Omario, or knows of his whereabouts, they are asked to call 101, quoting 44220160263."
