A CRASH between three vehicles caused long delays on a busy Hampshire motorway earlier this evening.

The incident on the M27 Eastbound, between Portsmouth and Fareham, caused queues of up to two miles.

According to Hampshire Constabulary, the crash between a car, a lorry and a coach was first reported at 4.55pm.

Some drivers faced delays of over an hour as emergency services worked to extract the driver of the car.

Police, fire and ambulance vehicles all left the scene at around 6.45pm, but two lanes remained closed as traffic officers removed the vehicles from the carriageway.

These were reopened around ten minutes later - but delays of an hour remained.

The Echo asked the authorities whether anyone was injured, but is yet to receive a response.
