THE largest sustainable trade show of its kind is returning to Southampton this year.

After a successful event last year, the Big Sustainability Expo will be held at St Mary’s on September 22.

The day will see businesses from all over the country meeting at the stadium to showcase their work, as well as taking part in workshops, listening to keynote speakers and watching exhibitor presentations.

In the evening, the expo will be followed by the “highly anticipated” 2022 Big Sustainability Awards.

Organised by The Southern Sustainability Partnership, the event is intended to change the way people think about business.

Lynda Daniels, director, said: “We love to challenge the preconceptions about sustainable businesses. We have exhibitors from every industry showcasing the product, technologies, innovations, services and expertise making their mark today.

“Last year we also had organisations demonstrating their own sustainable projects such as hotels, book shops, the local council, an ethical PR agency and even the creators of a heated desk that recently debuted on Dragon’s Den! “It’s the variety and the commitment to sustainability that makes this a truly fantastic show every year.”

The Southern Sustainability Partnership has been a platform for empowering organisations to focus on change since 2015.

It is focused on working with companies to reduce collective carbon footprint.

“Whether purchasing one vehicle for your business, or an entire fleet, the decision is a very different one today,” continued Ms Daniels.

“One that you may not feel as qualified to make as you were once were. This event will put you in front of the experts and the vehicles, enabling you to take test drives and find out about the financial benefits for you and your workforce.

“Just as our Expo is free to attend, so is Big Green Wheels.

‘We’ve been running The Big Sustainability Expo for many years, and every year it just gets bigger and better.

“We are constantly blown away by the incredible strides made in green innovation and sustainable technology, and this year’s event is already filling up fast with businesses ready to talk about what they’ve been doing. It looks like 2022 is set to be the best yet!”
