WESTON Shore is already known for its long walks, sea views and rich wildlife.
But now there is another reason to visit the popular area of Southampton.
The city council has recently unveiled six new mosaics near its landmark housing block, Copenhagen Towers.

Four of the circular artworks depict different species of birds which can be spotted on Weston Shore.
One shows a young child and adult walking along the seafront, and another, a fox amongst trees.
Councillor Warwick Payne, who represents the Woolston and Weston wards, said: “It’s vital to invest in our estates and specifically at International Way there have been significant works in recent years to boost energy efficiency and lower residents’ heating bills, and also to provide fire safety upgrades.
“However, it’s also good to provide the ‘nice’ things along with the essentials, and the murals at International Way are definitely a good improvement and very welcome.”
Cllr Payne added: “There are already some other fine murals that have been installed locally, for example at Weston Adventure Playground, and I’m very pleased to see the installation of the new ones at International Way.”
Posting on social media, the city council said: "These incredible mosaics are inspired by the local landscape and can be found outside Copenhagen Towers, one of the landmark Southampton Housing blocks overlooking Southampton Water.”

They were designed by Southampton artist, Anna Vickers, however, Weston is not the only neighbourhood to boast mosaics.
Last November saw the conclusion of a project that local residents across Townhill Park, Harefield and Midanbury were involved in over two years alongside SO18 Big Local, TWICS and community artists Gillian Jeffery and Will Rosie.
This saw more than 60 mosaic tiles installed, creating a trail around the area.
