POLICE have been ramping up patrols after a 'suspicious person' was spotted outside a Hampshire school.
Officers could be seen patrolling in Hedge End after they were alerted to a suspicious individual outside a school.
The increased presence was due to an incident that happened on Thursday morning.
A post from the Hedge End Facebook page said: "Reassurance Patrols - we received information on Friday in respect of a suspicious person outside of a school on Thursday in the Hedge End area. We regularly patrol schools - at the start and finish of the day - please come and speak to us if you have any concerns or contact us online or on 101."
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information.
