THE ANNIVERSARY of the Falklands war has been marked with a one-night concert in Southampton.

Armed Forces and emergency servicemen and women took to the stage for the British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Mayflower Theatre on May 1.

Guests were treated to a musical performance produced and performed by the Hampshire Constabulary band.

Tim Russel, Royal British Legion (RBL) county chairman said: "In a packed festival, we celebrate 100 years of the British Legion, the Platinum Jubilee of our Patron, Queen Elizabeth II and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Falklands war."
