A SOUTHAMPTON man who dumped a bin bag full of food waste has been slapped with a hefty fine.

Wayne Dyre dumped black bin waste bags and a kitchen bin full of food waste on land near to Packridge Lane in Romsey on November 20 last year.

Hauled before Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to dumping controlled waste.

Drye, of Croxford Drove, Southampton, was fined £1,800 and was also ordered to pay court costs of £540 and a victim surcharge of £180.
