THEY’RE the family run estate agents who promise honesty and integrity in a city they know every corner of.

Edison Green Estate Agents, which is based in Southampton’s Oxford Street, was launched in September 2019.

James Egan told the Daily Echo: “We were born out of a wish to offer clients an alternative service in an industry that has been notorious for stereotypical salespeople.

“Our directors have decades worth of experience in the industry with most of us starting our career in Southampton, and therefore know every corner of the city well.

“We focus on a one-on-one relationship with all our clients, so they have a single point of contact throughout their selling, buying or management experience with us. Not only does it make the process easier for clients, but it ensures that sales are not unnecessarily held up. We are able to do this because all our people are significantly experienced and have extensive knowledge of the legal process. All clients matter to us, and we recognise that everyone’s situation is unique, which is why all our marketing strategies are bespoke and individually tailored.”

Daily Echo:

Edison Green do not charge for premium features like professional photography or detailed floor plans, they make good use of social media to market properties and offer zero-week contracts as standard.

“We were born and bred in Southampton,” adds James “and we offer a personal yet professional service.

“We are innovative and think bigger. In the current market, properties in the right areas at the right price are snapped up quickly. However, for properties that have a narrower buyers pool - we don’t stop at just marketing it on Rightmove and sit back whilst waiting for buyers to contact us. We proactively utilise our network and other mediums to find buyers, which is why we have secured sales on properties that have traditionally been hard to sell.

“Our agents do not get paid per instruction or by having properties sat on the market for a long time, which is why we have every motivation to price properties correctly and sell them swiftly.”

Daily Echo:

Staff at the firm, who adapted to Covid lockdowns with video viewings and more use of virtual technology, are big Saints fans and take great joy in seeing their advertising banner proudly displayed in the Kingsland Stand at St Mary's.
