In a tweet from Hampshire Roads Policing Unit, officers later said: “The load was completely insecure... which included the straps which should have been used to secure it”.
A traffic offence report was issued with the driver now due to be fined as a result.
The tweet also said that the driver will now receive points on his licence for the incident.
