A HAMPSHIRE care home has been praised by a health watchdog in a recent inspection.

Ashley Lodge Bupa Care Home in New Milton has been rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The CQC’s latest report commended the home, rating it as ‘Good’ in all areas including safety, effectiveness, and being well-led.

Ashley Lodge, which currently provides personal and nursing care for 48 residents, was praised for its risk management, hygiene standards, food offering and support of staff.

Alongside commending the consistent, effective, and timely care, the report noted that the care home adapts services, design, and decorations to meet residents’ needs.

Alongside the management of the team, the CQC inspection received positive responses about meals at Ashley Lodge.

Relatives told the CQC that residents had the help they needed to eat, that meals were nice, and that residents enjoyed them.

Jessica Rolfe, Home Manager at Ashley Lodge, said: “We are very proud that the Ashley Lodge team have improved their rating.

"The whole team work so hard, and it is brilliant to see all that work reflected in such a positive report.”
