FIREFIGHTERS in the New Forest have rushed to the aid of a horse that became stuck in a marsh.
Crews from three stations were called to help "Paddy" the horse in Beaulieu on Wednesday.
A vet was on hand to sedate the eight-year-old pony whilst firefighters worked to release him.

It came after he became stuck in marshland at around 3.45pm that day.
Firefighters from Beaulieu, Odiham and Winchester released Paddy with the help of the fire services’ animal rescue advisor.
The horse was then returned to his owner for a feed and a warm shower.
Emergency crews left the site at around 6.18pm.
