SOUTHAMPTON is set to be showcased on national TV next week.
The One Show on BBC One will shine a spotlight on the city ahead of the City of Culture winner being revealed.
Southampton will feature in Tuesday’s episode (May 24).
On that day, the department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, which runs the City of Culture competition, will also celebrate the city via its social media channels.
People are encouraged to get involved by sharing messages of support and posting pictures or videos of their favourite places in the city.

Fellow City of Culture finalists are also set to appear on the popular programme, co-hosted by Alex Jones, Jermaine Jenas, and Ronan Keating.
A decision on which area will be crowned UK City of Culture 2025 will be made by the end of the month.
Southampton is in the running alongside Bradford, County Durham and Wrexham County Borough.
