THE "ULTIMATE summer festival" is set to hit Southampton this year.

Summertime Live is coming to the city this July bringing with it iconic dance anthems performed under the stars by a live orchestra.

The special one-day event, which is set to be held in Southampton Common on Friday, July 8, will also feature DJs, live entertainers, a variety of bars, and independent food vendors.

The 32-piece Urban Soul orchestra will take to the stage at 7.30pm performing the "biggest dance anthems of the last 30 years".

Jonathan Ware, event organiser, said: “We had events with 'classic Ibiza' all over the UK last summer and the response was amazing.

"There’s just something amazing about this orchestral re-imagining - taking a trip down memory lane with some of the biggest dance classics of all time, but in a way, you’ve never heard before.

"It’s a real hairs-on-the-back-of-the-neck moment."

Tickets start from £32.50, and are available online at www.summertimelive.co.uk
