POLICE have seized hundreds of plants following a raid on a Southampton "cannabis factory". 

Officers swooped on a home in Heysham Road during the early hours of Thursday. 

A search of the property led to the discovery of around 350 cannabis plants.

However, officers then searched the home next door to find another 450 plants. 

Ba Le Nguyen, 45, of no fixed address, has since been charged with cultivating a Class B drug – cannabis - and was remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today.

Police officers remain at the scene this afternoon.
