A VACANT school building could be transformed into houses if plans are approved.

Plans have been submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council to turn Woodhill School into three, four-bedroom detached homes.

The grade two listed building was formerly a £7,000-a-year independent school before it closed its doors in 2019.

And it could become a residential site if the plans are approved.

The applicant details how two of the three homes will “take inspiration” from the school building and period houses in Botley.

Their application reads: “The dwellings consist of brown roof tiles with red multi brick with dark brick feature banding and white Georgian bar windows.”

The other home will also take inspiration from Botley buildings, but there are “different architectural aspects which ensure the dwelling stands out in the street scene.”

The site will be home to a shared driveway and large garden.

A decision on the application at the site in Brook Lane will be made on July 8.
