A SOUTHAMPTON man without a licence was caught behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs.

Aaron Cosgrove was caught drug driving in an Audi A4 in the Lords Hill district centre on November 25 last year.

The 31-year-old, who does not hold a driver's licence, was found to have cocaine and Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - in his blood.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted two charges of drug driving, one charge of driving without a licence and one charge of driving without insurance.

Cosgrove, of Abercrombie Gardens, Southampton, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £54.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £40.
