A SOUTHAMPTON drug driver was found to have cocaine and cannabis in his system.

Anthony Taylor was caught drug driving on Shirley Road on January 9, 2021.

The 37-year-old was found to have Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - and THC - a breakdown product of cannabis - in his blood.

He was also found to have no driver's licence or insurance.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted two charges of drug driving, one charge of driving without a licence and one charge of driving without insurance.

Taylor, of Richmond Road, Southampton, was jailed for three months suspended for 12 months and was disqualified from driving for 36 months.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and £85.
