A NUMBER of roads are set to close as The Killers get ready to play a Southampton venue tonight.

The American rock stars will take to the stage at St Mary's Stadium on Monday and crowds of people are expected to flock to the surrounding areas.

A number of roads will be closed at various points throughout the day.

The Killers' show in the city had been postponed twice because of the pandemic. Their UK and Ireland tour was initially scheduled for 2020.

Brandon Flowers and his band will be supported by Stockport indie rockers Blossoms.

Below are the road closures planned for today.

Melbourne Street will be closed from 10am to 2am.

Daily Echo:

Britannia Road, Rochester Street, Victoria Street, Chapel Road, Granville Street and Marine Parade will be closed from 2pm to 2am.

Belvidere Road and Peel Street will be closed from 6pm to 2am.

There will be regular shuttle buses operating from Southampton Central Train Station (south side of the Train Station) and the Red Funnel Ferry Terminal (Terminal 2). They will be running from 2pm every 15 minutes up until 4pm then they will run continually.
