Southampton City Council has today decided on its new chief executive officer – but has not yet revealed who it is.
The newcomer will be taking over from Mike Harris who has been acting CEO since February 2022.
The decision was finalised at the council’s Chief Officer Employment Panel, which met today. The press and public were not allowed into the meeting.
Mr Harris took on the responsibility when his predecessor, Sandy Hopkins left after three years.
