THERE has been a farm of sorts in Millbrook since 1976.
From that, Down to Earth Farm was formed in 1992 following an amalgamation of Southampton City Farm and Millbrook School Rural Science Unit.
Oasis Academy Lordshill took over the running of the farm from Southampton City council in 2008.
Twelve years later the farm changed its name back to Southampton City Farm.

These pictures from the Daily Echo archive were taken in 1986 while children were helping out with the digging, sowing, feeding and petting.
