Here we list five fabulous events happening in Hampshire that you and the kids will be sure to enjoy.

Isle of Wight Festival 2022, Newport, All weekend

Tens of thousands of party goers are making their way across Southampton Water for the 2022 shindig.

The festival attracts over 50,000 visitors to Seaclose Park in Newport and is one of the most anticipated events in the festival calendar. 

Lewis Capaldi, Kasabian, Muse and Pete Tong will be headlining with other confirmed artists including Southampton favourite Craig David, plus Jessie Ware, Rudimental, and The Proclaimers.

Alongside the musical acts, the Red Arrows will be making an appearance following their cancelled Jubilee flights earlier this month.

In 2022, comedy will be on the line-up for the first time ever with comedians Sophie Dunker, Tom Ward, and Kate Lucas taking to the Hunky Dory stage.

Totton and Eling Carnival, Saturday

The event is set to return after a two-year break caused by the pandemic.

Totton & Eling Carnival Committee is due to be staged on Saturday - and organisers are vowing it will be bigger and better than ever.

First held in 1914, the annual celebration is described as an upbeat, family-orientated event that is close to residents' hearts.

Each year thousands of people turn out to watch the parade make its way through the town centre.

UEFA Women's EURO Roadshow, Westquay, Saturday

The UEFA Women’s EURO roadshow stops off in Southampton on Saturday as part of a national tour visiting all host cities.

The free roadshow, at Westquay, will provide all visitors with an opportunity to get involved in this summer’s unmissable tournament.

England legend Fara Williams and World Panna Champion Harriet Pavlou will be attending.

Visitors will be able to try a range of industry-related roles such as matchday presenting and interviewing in a special TV studio.

DJs will perform and fans can have their picture taken with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 trophy, as well as winning tickets to games at the tournament.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Roadshow will be open from 11am – 5pm.

Winchester Comedy Festival, Saturday

Winchester Comedy Festival is back with well-known faces appearing on the bill of their Summer Gala 2022 at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday.

Seann Walsh, described as ‘the best observational comedian of his generation’, whose last tour received standing ovations around the country,  headlines. The award-nominee has appeared on TV’s Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Juice and Tonight at The London Palladium, to name a few and can be seen acting in Jack Dee’s ITV sitcom Bad Move.

Performer Brett Goldstein can currently be found playing the role of Roy Kent in TV’s runaway hit comedy, Ted Lasso – which has earned him an Emmy. He has also written for and acted in a number of other shows including Drifters and Ricky Gervais’ heart-warming comedy, Derek. 

The evening’s MC is comedian, presenter, writer and warm-up artiste, James Gill.

Brickosaurs Evolution event, Marwell Zoo, All weekend

Daily Echo:

A weekend of prehistoric adventure is set to take place as part of the BRICKOSAURS! Evolution event.

As well as getting closer to some giant dinosaur builds, guests will be able to take part in exclusive activities and, for this weekend only, meet a life-like roaming Triceratops and raptor.

You’ll be able to have your photo taken with baby dinosaurs and guess the weight of a giant egg!

Win a prize for the best selfie taken in dino-themed clothing and watch expert builders in action.
