A BOAT that became stuck in a remote part of a river has been freed in an overnight rescue effort.
On Tuesday night Hillhead Coastguard Rescue Team was to a boat that had potentially run aground on a remote section of the River Hamble.
Alongside Portsmouth Coastguard Rescue, emergency teams located the boat.
They were then able to free the vessel and moved it to safety without the need for further deployment of equipment.
