A SOUTHAMPTON man has been banned from the roads after he was caught driving after taking cocaine.

Joseph Jewell was caught drug driving on Queens View in Southampton on January 21, 2022.

The 31-year-old was found to have cocaine and benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - in his system.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted two counts of drug driving.

Jewell, of Matheson Road, Southampton, was disqualified for 12 months and fined £120.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.
