AN EASTLEIGH man caught drug driving in a van has been banned from the roads.

David Allen was caught drug driving a Ford Transit on Hanns Way in Eastleigh, on March 7.

The 57-year-old was found to have Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - in his system.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of drug driving.

Allen, of Hanns Way, Eastleigh, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £80.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
