A MAN who threatened to petrol bomb a woman's house has been jailed.
Gary Spencer appeared in court following the incident in November last year.
On November 19, the 46-year-old threatened a woman living in the Pennington area of the New Forest.
He said he was going to "petrol bomb" her house.
The court heard how on the same day, he assaulted a police officer and was found to be carrying a class B drug.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of assaulting an emergency worker by beating, one charge of the possession of a class B drug and one charge of using racially abusive words or behaviour.
He was found guilty of threatening to damage or destroy property.
Spencer, of Renny Road, Portsmouth, was jailed for a total of 24 weeks and was handed a restraining order banning him from contacting the woman for two years.
He was also fined £100.
