A MOTORBIKE burst into flames outside a Chinese restaurant sending thick black smoke billowing into the air today.
Firefighters raced to The Victory on Bursledon Road after a vehicle caught alight.
A nearby fence was damaged when the fire spread.
Crews from Hightown Fire Station were called to the scene shortly before 2pm.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that no one was injured during the incident and the blaze is under control.
Police also attended meanwhile passersby stopped to divert traffic away from the area.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, however, the Echo has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information.
