A SOUTHAMPTON teenager has been handed a restraining order after he assaulted a woman and trashed her car.

William Philip Jackman assaulted the victim twice on December 15 last year.

The 18-year-old also damaged her Peugeot on Portsmouth Road.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he was charged with two counts of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage.

Jackman, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton, was handed a restraining order banning him from entering an address on Condor Close in Southampton for one year.

He was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and was fined £75.

Jackman must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.
