A SOUTHAMPTON man with a violent record has been jailed for assaulting a teenager.

Conner James Brackstone appeared in court on June 20 following the assault of a boy under the age of 18 this year.

The court heard how the 25-year-old had a "previous violent record", adding that the offence was "serious" due to the age of the victim.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted assault by beating.

Brackstone, of Devonshire Road, Southampton, was jailed for six weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £100.
