A SOUTHAMPTON road was closed in both directions following a police incident.

At around 11pm last night, police said they dealing with an incident on Manor Farm Road.

The road was blocked between Diamond Road and Wellington Road, and it is understood the road was shut for around an hour.

Motorists were asked to use an alternative route.

A spokesperson said: "Police are currently dealing with an incident on Manor Farm Road. The road is currently blocked between Diamond Road and Wellington Road.

"We aim to have it open within the next hour. Please go an alternate route."
