A DRIVER could have his car seized after his passenger shouted abuse and made hand gestures towards school kids.

In the past two weeks police received a number of reports that the passenger of a car had been shouting foul and abusive language towards school children waiting at a bus stop on Shrubbs Hill in Lyndhurst.

This morning, officers stopped the car involved in the abuse.

The passenger was issued with a community resolution for the public order offence and the driver has been given a section 59 warning for allowing his car to be used to cause harassment alarm and distress to members of the public.

This means if the car is involved in this type of incident again it will be seized.
