A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident at a block of flats in Millbrook.

A 52-year-old man was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries.

He remains in hospital at this time.

Police were called out to Irving Road just after 1.50am on Saturday.

They arrested a 46-year-old woman from Southampton on suspicion of attempted murder.

She is currently in police custody.

A cordon has been set up around a block of flats and two officers are at the scene.
