A MAN has been banned from all Co-op stores following a shoplifting spree.

Jordan James Bell has been hauled before court after he stole a number of items over the course of a few weeks from a Co-op store in Winchester.

On April 18, the 24-year-old stole a Kellogg's cereal box and a dessert from the store on City Road.

On two separate occasions on April 20, he stole laundry scented beads and a selection of meat products.

A week later he returned to the store to steal two fruit juice cartons. Another theft took place the following day.

He then stole two canned drinks on May 13 and a canned drink and meat items on May 31.

The following month, on June 9, he stole a can of drink and on June 15, he stole an iced coffee and a can of Red Bull.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted nine charges of theft.

Bell, of no fixed address, was handed a 12-month exclusion order banning him from entering any Co-op store and was fined £50.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £49.
