A MAN who was wanted on a recall to prison has been arrested after a police foot chase in the city centre.
Officers from Winchester's High Harm Team were looking for the man in connection with a serious assault when they spotted him in the High Street earlier today (June 28).

After a short pursuit, the man was detained with the help of a member of the public before further police units arrived on the scene.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
