A CARE provider is to expand into new territories after securing a £3.5million investment.

Nobilis Care, a Southampton-based business offering personalised care at home for the elderly and vulnerable, secured the investment from independent asset manager BOOST&Co.

It said the money would be used to enhance its working capital and fund expansion into new territories.

Nobilis was founded in 2008 by husband and wife David and Nicky Watt, who had struggled to find quality care for a family member. it aims to offer “care quality we could expect for our own relatives”.

It offers short-term care, live-in care, home visits and access to a digital family portal.

The business, headquartered at Arena Business Centre, employs more than 750 people and has 13 branches around the UK. The investment will enable it to expand the branch network, reaching new areas in the net 18 months.

Adam Brinn, head of London and east at BOOST&Co, said: “We are pleased to support Nobilis with this funding round that will support growth and working capital across the group, as it continues to expand into new territories.

“The focus on investing in its people and maintaining quality of care at a time when the sector is facing multiple challenges, really demonstrates the resilience of the management team and their determination to stand by their mission.

"It was a pleasure to work with David and Lisa and we look forward to supporting the business in the future.”

Nobilis Care chairman David Watt said: “This investment from BOOST&Co will be invaluable in helping us to continue our mission to improve care in the community, make it more accessible and ensure that the elderly are able to retain their independence.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the team at BOOST&Co and we are looking forward to expanding the reach of our services across the UK, continuing to employ the very best carers to provide the highest quality of care and enabling more clients, and their families, to access this support.”

BOOST&Co said it had chosen to work with Nobilis because it is a rapidly growing business foused on providing the best quality of care.

BOOST&Co offers loans ranging from £2m to £10m in a range of sectors and has funded more than £500m across more than 130 deals to date. It has provided close to £200m under the government’s coronavirus business interruption loans initiative.
